After decades of asking the questions in media interviews, I now find myself answering them. Interviews with the media about Safe Harbor are great fun. I can just sit back and talk — and I love to talk about Safe Harbor.
Today, I had my very first radio interview. I spoke to Greg Roe and Catherine Coles, hosts of Haliburton County Reads, Canoe FM’s books program that runs every Wednesday. They wanted to know more about Safe Harbor being shortlisted for Britain’s Debut Dagger in 2010, what sparked Pat Tierney’s character and why “Harbor” in the title is spelled the American way, without the “u.”
And they were especially interested to learn that the next Pat Tierney mystery will be set in the Haversham Highlands, a fictional counterpart of the Haliburton Highlands.
The interview will air on Wednesday June 6 at 6 p.m. ET. You can listen to it here at that time.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Canoe FM, it’s the voice of Haliburton County, the ruggedly beautiful part of Central Ontario where my stone cottage is located on Saskatchewan Lake.
