Sales still rocking…and other good stuff

Imajin Books editor Cheryl Tardif has just reported some pretty amazing sales stats for the first part of this month. Total sales of Safe Harbor, June 1 through 14 alone, match the amazing buying frenzy at the end of May after the KDP Select promo. This month, U.S. sales are higher than in the U.K.

Was it word of mouth? My appearance last week on U.S. author Stacy Eaton’s blog? Or the terrific Amazon reviews that are coming in? I have no idea, but I love it!

Speaking of reviews, Lou Allin posted a fabulous five-star today on,, Goodreads and DorothyL. “McCracken ramps up the action from paragraph one and never hits the brakes in this dynamic thriller,” Allin writes. “The intrepid Pat is an ideal lead for an expanded role of mother, protector, and hero. Her behaviour rings true, whether parenting her girls, taking care of her dog, or venturing into a problematical romance. She’s smart and savvy, but does she trust too much?”

High praise, indeed, from one of Canada’s top crime writers!

And I had an interview this morning with Danielle Milley, a reporter at the East York Mirror. Great to have my neighbourhood newspaper interested in profiling me!
