The DARKSIDE of LOVE

VALENTINE’S DAY is just around the corner, and to celebrate this season of romance, Chicago author Bianca Sloane is hosting a three-week love-a-thon on her blog. In December, she invited several fellow authors to contribute guest posts about the many aspects of love and romance – but NOT tales of happily-ever-after. She asked us to explore the dark side of love, which you have to admit holds a great fascination for most of us.

Header-Prizes-webBianca has put together a wonderful collection about the underside of romance: unrequited love, bad dates, betrayal, demon lovers, dark literary heroes, even domestic violence. The guest blogs started running Feb. 1, and will continue through Feb. 21.

AND my post is up today! I contributed the first chapter of Last Date, a work-in-progress that will hopefully become the fourth Pat Tierney mystery. Pat goes on a date with a man from her past, and the date goes horribly wrong. Check it out here.

After you finish reading the excerpt from Last Date, you’ll see a Rafflecopter contest form. Enter the contest to win some truly amazing prizes: a Kindle Fire, Amazon gift cards and signed paperbacks. Bianca says there are 3 ways to enter the giveaway. Entrants can either:

  • Tweet about the giveaway/promotion using the hashtag #DARKSIDEOFLOVE with a link back to the blog (You MUST use this hashtag to qualify).
  • Leave a comment on blog posts with your email address. No email address means no entry.
  • Email Bianca at Bianca@biancasloane.com with the subject line “Dark Side of Love.”

And don’t forget to visit Bianca’s blog daily through Feb. 21 to read more guests posts about love’s darker side. Check out the posts that ran earlier this month in Bianca’s blog archive – the blog roll is on the right side of her home page.
