Augtober…means getting back to work

Summer, my favourite season, is drawing to a close. This past weekend was unseasonably cool in my part of the world—Augtober, one pundit called it.

snoopy+graphicBut the cooler weather has propelled me into fall mode. Today, I opened my week-long e-book sale of my Pat Tierney mysteries. SAFE HARBOR is now 99 cents on, and the C$ and pound sterling equivalent on and

BLACK WATER, the second book in the series, is also on sale, for $1.99. If you haven’t read the sequel to SAFE HARBOR, check it out on, or

The last day of the sale is Tuesday Aug. 26.

The fall book season is shaping up nicely. SAFE HARBOR will be part of DEADLY DOZEN, a book bundle of Imajin Books’ 12 bestselling mysteries and thrillers. DEADLY DOZEN will be released in mid-September.

And later this fall, another Pat Tierney short story, “Antonia,” will appear in World Enough and Crime, a collection of 23 crime fiction stories to be released by Carrick Publishing.

The first Pat Tierney short story, “The Sweetheart Scamster,” appeared in the crime fiction anthology THIRTEEN and was a finalist for a 2014 Derringer Award.

Speaking of short stories, Canadian author Linda Hall interviewed me this past weekend on how I approach writing them. Click here to read the interview on Linda’s blog, LRHall Books.

  1. Great advice on writing short stories Rosemary, neat, clear, boiled down like a good story itself.
