Raven Lake’s SLEUTH launch

Howard Solomon photoI was thrilled to hold my RAVEN LAKE print launch at Sleuth of Baker Street bookstore yesterday. The Toronto bookstore, so dear to the heart of crime writers, has launched and held signings for well-known writers such as Louise Penny, Linwood Barclay and Michael Connelly. And yesterday was my turn!

DSCF0794Lots of people turned up, driving from as far away as Bradford.  Thank you, everyone! And on a beautiful summer day, when you could have been relaxing by a pool or a lake.

Speaking of lakes, when Ed and I arrived at Sleuth to set up for the party, our hostess Marian Misters told us that five books had already been sold. They were purchased by the head of the cottagers’ association at the real Raven Lake in Haliburton.

DSCF0785Special thanks to Marian Misters. And to fellow author Madeleine Harris-Callway for her brilliant interview of me at the bookstore. And to author Joan O’Callaghan who brought her delicious red–only they turned out to be pink–kayak cookies. That’s Joan in the photo to the left, holding up one of her cookies.
