Thanks to communications technology, writers are continuing to reach readers and fellow writers during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve been connecting for years via email and Facebook, and we’re now continuing to meet with the help of video-conferencing software such as Zoom. My writers’ critique group gathers remotely via Zoom to comment on our works-in-progress. Sisters in Crime Toronto had a successful Zoom meeting this month. And Carrick Publishing’s Donna Carrick recently used Zoom to interview me for her new podcast series.
In the interview, we chatted about Uncharted Waters, the fourth novel in my Pat Tierney mystery series, which will be released in September. We discussed the other three books in the series: Safe Harbor, Black Water and Raven Lake. And we talked about a short story I’m currently writing for Carrick Publishing’s new crime fiction collection, Grave Diagnosis.
All from the comfort of our respective homes on a chilly April morning.
